PropertyProNZ (“we”, “us”, “our”) built the PropertyProNZ mobile application (the “App”) as a property investment analysis tool. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. By using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
This policy is designed to comply with Apple’s App Store Guidelines (section 5.1) and applicable privacy laws, including New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020 and relevant international standards.
1. Information We Collect
A. Personal Data
We do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or any contact identifiers unless you choose to provide them (e.g., for support or account features). Any such personal data is only collected if you explicitly opt in.

We automatically collect certain usage information when you interact with the App, including:

This information helps us understand how the App is used and improve the experience.
C. Property Data
You may enter property information (e.g., addresses, property values, rental assumptions) to use the App’s features. This data is stored locally on your device unless you choose to sync or backup externally.

This data is used to improve app compatibility and performance.

3. Data Storage & Retention
All user-generated data is stored on your device by default. If you choose to export or sync data (e.g., cloud backup), this will occur only with your explicit consent.
We retain usage and analytics data as long as needed for operational purposes. Property scenarios and user input remain on your device until you delete them.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
We may disclose information only if required by law or to protect our rights, or if you explicitly authorise a third-party integration (e.g., exporting your data).
5. Your Rights and Choices
A. Access and Correction
You may access, correct, update, or delete your data stored within the App by:
Editing or deleting scenarios directly in the App
Uninstalling the App (removes local stored data)
B. Analytics Opt-Out
If you prefer not to share analytics data, you may disable analytics tracking in the App settings (if provided) or through your device settings.
C. Consent Withdrawal
Where data processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time; this will not affect prior lawful processing.
6. Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services for analytics or performance monitoring. These services collect data as described in their own privacy policies. We monitor and vet third-party partners to ensure compliance with privacy standards.

8. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to delete it.
9. International Users
If you access the App from outside New Zealand, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries where our servers or service providers are located. By using the App, you consent to such transfers.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
